Me first. I can't do that. You have to stay with me.
Sound familiar? The Jungle Buddies help your child find words for what is happening inside. With exercises that are ready to try tonight.
How it works at home
Not another parenting book
You do not need to read any theory to do something different tonight. The Jungle Buddies work with stories, images and short exercises you do together: a feelings jar, a calm corner, a massage before bedtime.
Does your child's school use the method too? Then at home you use the same words and the same characters as in the classroom. For a child, that makes an enormous difference.

Background
Why this works with young children
A young child can feel a feeling long before it can name one. As long as the words are missing, the feeling comes out as behaviour: hitting, crying, running off, clinging on.
Putting words to what is happening is therefore not a side issue, it is where self-regulation begins. That happens step by step, at your child's pace, and it asks for repetition rather than one good conversation.
